Life Sciences
QSI 500 and 600 Series cameras are used worldwide in a wide variety of life science applications, from fluoroscopy to spectroscopy. With their exceptionally low noise, high sensitivity from UV up to near IR (350nm-1000nm), 16-bit dynamic range, and precisely regulated cooling, QSI cameras excel at medical and life science applications. Coupled with their low profile, optional mechanical shutter and internal color filter wheel, liquid heat exchanger and low power requirements, the QSI 500/600 Series can be integrated in lab environments or used in stand-alone applications that would be impossible for many other cameras.
QSI 600 Series cameras offer increased cooling and dual read rates optimized for life science applications. QSI 600 Series cameras have a High Quality read mode, similar to the 500 Series but about 50% faster (800KHz), offering the lowest read noise and widest possible dynamic range, and a High Speed mode of 8 MHz for focusing, framing, and for applications that require higher frame rates. With the interline transfer sensors in the QSI 620 and 640 "Live View" near video rates are possible.
